Delivery

All our cabins come with a trailer from the factory and are driven to the nearest freight terminal for unloading or customer pick-up. Help with loading takes place on site with a forklift.

The cabins are well wrapped in weather-resistant thick plastic and steel-bound on wooden pallets, which means that you don't have to stress about tearing off the packaging or starting to assemble immediately when you have received your goods, it can withstand being left outside for a while, a few weeks or so.

The shipping cost is calculated by weight, distance and size of the package. We always try to combine and coordinate the customers' shipments to get the lowest possible price. We have agreements with both DSV and DB Schenker. The size and weight of the packages depends on which cabin it is.

02

How Delivery Works

If we deliver the goods by crane truck (ordinary truck with a crane behind the cab), it is important that the road to the customer's delivery address is passable and good enough for heavy vehicles. We take this information in connection with the customer's order, who then also receives exact prices for shipping.

We usually bring home 2-4 trailers with cabins per quarter depending on demand. The number of cabins that can fit on each trailer depends entirely on the size of the objects. The greater flexibility the customer has regarding the delivery time, the lower the shipping cost. When buying a larger cabin (>25 square meters), especially if it is custom-made, and perhaps during the ongoing building permit process, good planning and foresight are normally required. We solve this most smoothly in close cooperation with the customer in question, so that delivery takes place according to the time and place requested.

NOTE! Never book installation, dates and/or times if you are not 100% sure when the item will be delivered. JM Stugor & Fritid disclaims any claims or compensation in connection with waiting times. We cannot control deliveries in all stages, for example when a crane truck arrives. Therefore, always wait for confirmation or other information regarding delivery, if possible.

The packages

Reloading at the DSV terminal in Länna, south of Stockholm, and then for further transport by crane around the country. The packages are usually no longer than 6 m long, approx. 1.2 m wide and approx. 1 m high, the weight varies from a couple of hundred kilos to approx. 1.2 tons.

All the packages are well-packaged, steel-bound on a wooden pallet with strong and weather-resistant thick plastic - so that you don't have to stress about starting your assembly right away, but the packages can withstand being outside for a while - preferably as flat, stable, protected and dry as possible.

The packages are also stackable, but we advise against this as the parts are in different order etc.

04

Help With Unloading

If the customer needs help with unloading on site, we will arrange it. Usually, a wheel loader or regular tractor with forks and lifting eyes/straps is sufficient to lift the goods from the trailer. We also have information such as size, number and weight per package that includes the goods. If there are larger cabins, it is common to have 3-5 packages of different sizes and weights.
